For a beginner, the right certification depends less on the product name and more on the career role you want to build. If your goal is to become a Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant, start by understanding business processes such as sales, customer service, finance, supply chain, or operations before going deep into technical development. If you want to become a Dynamics 365 Developer, build a foundation in Dataverse, Power Platform, APIs, C#, JavaScript, plugins, and integration concepts. Power Platform is also an excellent starting point because Dynamics 365 applications increasingly rely on Dataverse, Power Apps, Power Automate, and AI capabilities. The important point is: don't collect certifications without building hands-on experience. A strong beginner roadmap should combine certification preparation, practical projects, solution design, and real-world scenarios.
