Being a Power Platform Developer is much broader than knowing how to create a Canvas App. A strong developer should understand: Power Apps – Canvas and Model-driven applications Dataverse – Tables, relationships, security, business rules, solutions Power Automate – Cloud flows, approvals, expressions, error handling Power Pages – External-facing business applications Power BI – Data visualization and analytics fundamentals ALM – Solutions, environments, deployment and governance APIs & Integration – REST APIs, connectors and external systems JavaScript/C# – Particularly useful for advanced Dataverse and Dynamics 365 scenarios Security – Business units, security roles, teams and access models Application Architecture – Designing maintainable and scalable solutions The biggest difference between a beginner and a professional developer is not the number of features they know. It is their ability to design solutions that are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with business requirements. If you're learning Power Platform for a career, don't stop at "I can build an app." Learn how to design an enterprise solution.
