What is Microsoft Defender for Cloud?

Microsoft Defender for Cloud is Microsoft's cloud security posture management and cloud workload protection platform. It helps organizations understand security risks across cloud environments, strengthen their security posture, and protect workloads running across Azure and supported multicloud/hybrid environments.

One important distinction is between security posture management and workload protection.
